About the Band
io4 is a live, drum’n’bass/jungle band. Based out of Boston, io4 takes the best elements of popular breaks, nu-skool, and dub and merges them with the improvisatory aspect of jazz music. Each performance is unique, with songs being loosely defined ideas that can be altered to fit the mood of the dancers, and atmosphere of the venue. io4 is currently writing music and rehearsing for 2004 shows in addition to exploring collaborations with DJs, multimedia artists, and other electronic-based acts.
